As its Q3 results failed to inspire the markets, BHEL stock was down by 7.42 per cent or Rs 20.30 to trade at Rs 253.35 on the BSE this morning.
With the index heavyweight L&T also shedding value, the capital goods index became the biggest sectoral loser on the BSE.
There were some isolated bright spots in the capital goods index but this was not enough to keep the index high since the overall Sensex also was down by more than 200 points affecting the overall market sentiment. L&T lost Rs 19.20 to trade at Rs 1,362.40 and Thermax shed Rs 8.50 at Rs 494.95.
Among the gainers, ABB was up by Rs 11.35 to trade at Rs 809, BEML gained Rs 4.65 to trade at Rs 534.50 and SKF India gained Rs 6.25 at Rs 619.
