Blackstone invests in Jagran Prakashan

Private equity firm Blackstone has invested Rs 225 crore in Jagran Prakashan Ltd.

However, the exact percentage of stake acquired by Blackstone GPV Capital Partners (Mauritius) V-Q Ltd has not been disclosed.

This was communicated by JPL to the BSE. Various Government approvals required for the investment have been received, said JPL to the BSE.

Jagran Media Network Investment Pvt Ltd is JPL's holding company, holding a stake of 59.46 per cent.

Jagran is involved in print, OOH, activations, mobile and online media. It owns English daily Mid Day and Hindi daily Dainik Jagran among other newspapers and magazines.
