Cairn India vaulted 7.14 per cent to stay ahead of the pack on the NSE near the close on Thursday. At 3.10 pm the share was trading at Rs 185.35 as against Rs 173 at close yesterday.
BHEL held on to its early momentum to build gains of 4.02 per cent at Rs 251.05 as against Rs 241.35 at close yesterday.
Wipro joined the uptrend to notch up gains of 3.49 per cent at Rs 562.50. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 543.55.
HCL Technologies advanced 3.36 per cent at Rs 942 as against Rs 911.40 at close yesterday.
Tech Mahindra was trading at Rs 554.55, up 2.60 per cent on its previous close at Rs 540.50.
