CMI has received a letter of intent for its maiden order from East Central Railway to the tune of ₹20.93 crore for its Baddi plant. This order is meant for supply of 1,144.64 km of Railway signalling cables in the next six months. Amit Jain, CMD, CMI, said, “Year 2019 seems to be quite lucky for us as the New Year has started with flow of orders to be executed from CMI Energy India Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CMI, after the RDSO approval received for the Baddi plant a few months back.” However, shares of CMI slumped 5.07 per cent at ₹170.55 on the NSE.
