Extending yesterday’s rally, pharma shares Lupin and Sun Pharma were the top gainers on the NSE as well in the morning session on Thursday. At 11.19 am Lupin was trading at Rs 1,939.35. This represented a gain of 8.02 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 1,795.40.
Sun Pharma was trading at Rs 964.40 against Rs 927.75 at close yesterday. This was a gain of 3.95 per cent.
BPCL flared up 3.03 per cent at Rs 914. The share had closed Wednesday’s session at Rs 887.10.
FMCG players ITC and Hindustan Unilever were also on a firm wicket. ITC advanced 2.45 per cent to quote at Rs 324.65 against Rs 316.90 at close yesterday.
Hindustan Unilever gained 2.23 per cent at Rs 895.70 against Rs 876.20 at close yesterday.
