Metal and private banking shares were among the top gainers on the BSE on Tuesday morning. At 11.20 am Hindalco was trading at Rs 120.65, up 2.20 per cent on its Monday close at Rs 118.05.
Vedanta gained 2.17 per cent to trade at Rs 180.90. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 177.05.
Hindustan Unilever rode up 1.55 per cent at Rs 824.45 against Rs 811.90 at close overnight.
Axis Bank advanced 1.26 per cent to trade at Rs 560.35. The share had closed Monday’s session at Rs 553.40.
ICICI Bank traded up 1.09 per cent at Rs 286.35 as against Rs 283.25 at close yesterday.
