Hindustan Unilever and Bajaj Auto were the only two shares to buck the market trend to trade in the green on Monday morning. At 10.45 am Hindustan Unilever was trading at Rs 890.65, up 0.48 per cent on last week’s closing at Rs 886.40.
Bajaj Auto gained 0.24 per cent to trade at Rs 2,546.30 against Rs 2,540.15 at close on Friday.
The overall market was deep in the red as the crisis in Greese intensified. The BSE Sensex was down over 450 points at the 27,350 level, while the NSE Nifty was down over 100 points at the 8,250 level.
