A clutch of shares rode up on the BSE as the market opened flat on Wednesday following yesterday's rout. Both the Sensex and the Nifty were barely changed in mid-morning trade.
Hindustan Unilever was the top gainer on the BSE during the session. At 10.45 am it held gains of 3.08 per cent to trade at Rs 799 as against Rs 775.15 at close on Tuesday.
NTPC was also up 1.54 per cent at Rs 141.65. The share had ended yesterday’s session at Rs 139.50.
Reliance Industries joined the uptrend, registering gains of 1.33 per cent to trade at Rs 847.20 as against Rs 836.10 at close on Tuesday.
ONGC flared up 1.23 per cent to quote at Rs 336.55. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 332.45.
Coal India gained 0.96 per cent to trade at Rs 382.45 as against Rs 378.80 at close yesterday.
