Infosys spurted into the lead on the BSE on Monday afternoon. At 2.30 pm it held gains of 2.09 per cent at Rs 2,262.85 as against Rs 2,216.45 at close on Friday.
Sun Pharma Industries rallied further to hold gains of 1.76 per cent at Rs 1,030 as against Rs 1,012.15 at close last week.
Wipro was the other IT stock in the limelight, notching up gains of 1.68 per cent at Rs 648.20 as against Rs 637.50 at close on Friday.
BHEL steamed up 1.59 per cent to trade at Rs 258.65. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 254.6.
Hero MotoCorp rode up 1.24 per cent at Rs 2,641.90. The share had closed Friday’s session at Rs 2,609.5.
