Linde India surged the most in over 5-1/2 years as the company has got buyout offer from the promoter. Shares of the industrial gases company surged as much as 18.97 per cent to Rs 578, their biggest intraday percentage gain since March 15, 2013.
Linde India stock hits highest level since January 16, 2018. BOC Group Ltd, which currently holds 75 per cent in Linde India, intends to buy remaining stake in the company, Linde India said on Friday.
More than 1.1 million shares traded, over 22 times their 30-day moving average. Linde India stock had fallen 9.38 per cent this year as of last close.
