Pharma shares stayed ahead of the pack on the BSE near the close on Thursday. At 2.54 pm Lupin held gains of 5.19 per cent Rs 1,888.55 against Rs 1,795.35 at close yesterday.
ITC spurted 4.01 per cent to trade at Rs 329.35 as against Rs 316.65 at close last evening.
Dr Reddy’s Labs held steady with gains of 1.35 per cent at Rs 4,289 against Rs 4,231.85 previously.
Sun Pharma came off its morning highs to trade at Rs 935.9. This was a gain of 0.93 per cent on its overnight close at Rs 927.25.
NTPC edged up 0.56 per cent at Rs 126.80 against Rs 126.10 at close yesterday.
