Shares of Marksans Pharma Ltd jumped as much as 20 per cent to their highest since November 11, 2016.
The stock posted its biggest intraday percentage gain since July 2011.
According to the pharma holding company, UK drugs regulator has completed the inspection at its Goa plant without any critical observations.
It said that the inspection was conducted from February 14-17.
More than 31 million shares change hands, 17 times the 30-day moving average.
The stock had risen 1.6 per cent this year as of Friday's close, compared with a gain of 7.8 per cent in NSE index.
