HSIL has received a letter from the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board on Tuesday revoking the consent to operate its Kaharani unit in Alwar and directing the company to shut it. The period for consent to operate the unit was given as between December 3, 2015 and November 30, 2018. The company said the closure of the unit, which manufactures faucets, “will not adversely affect” its business. Investors will watch the development.
