Shares of SJVN will remain in focus, as they turn ex-date for the proposed buyback on Wednesday. The Centre has approved a buyback of 20.68 crore shares or 5 per cent stake, for over ₹801 crore. The buyback price has been fixed at ₹38.75 a share. The record date has been fixed as January 18 to determine the entitlement and names of shareholders who are eligible to participate in the buyback. For that, investors need to buy SJVN shares by Tuesday.
