Telecom shares Idea Cellular and Bharti Airtel led the pack on the NSE at mid-session on Monday. At 12.10 pm Idea Cellular was up 4.21 per cent at Rs 179.55 as against Rs 172.30 at close on Friday.
Bharti Airtel gained 3.53 per cent to trade at Rs 389.80. The share had closed the previous week at Rs 376.50.
BPCL flared up 2.75 per cent at Rs 770.25 as against Rs 749.60 at close on Friday.
HDFC gained 2.51 per cent to trade at Rs 1,294.35. The share had ended the overnight session at Rs 1,262.70.
Asian Paints was up 2.45 per cent at Rs 797.20 as against Rs 778.15 at close last week.
