Vishal Mega Mart’s share price dropped to its lowest level in over a month, declining by as much as 7.5% to ₹116.29, following a significant block deal. The promoter entity, Samayat Services LLP, an investment vehicle of Partners Group and Kedaara Capital, sold a 19.82% stake (approximately 91 crore shares) worth ₹10,488 crore at ₹115 per share, reflecting a 7.9% discount from the previous closing price of ₹124.90. This sale occurred just after the lock-in period for pre-IPO shareholders ended, making 56% of the company’s equity (256.2 crore shares worth over ₹30,000 crore) eligible for trading. Despite the recent drop, the stock remains 60% above its IPO price of ₹78, having listed in December 2024.
