UltraTech Cement surged up 4.23 per cent to emerge the top gainer on the NSE near the close on Monday. At 3.15 pm the share was trading at Rs 3,360 as against Rs 3,223.60 at close last Friday.
Asian Paints also joined the uptrend to notch up gains of 3.22 per cent at Rs 851.95. The share had ended the previous week at Rs 825.40.
BPCL extended its morning gains to trade at Rs 966.20, up 2.83 per cent on its previous close at Rs 939.65.
Grasim Industries gained 1.98 per cent to quote at Rs 3,770.05 against Rs 3,696.90 at close last week.
Hindalco Industries ruled firm, building up gains of 1.59 per cent at Rs 108.9 against Rs 107.20 at close last week.
