Axis Bank spurted up 4.31 per cent in the Thursday morning session on the BSE, lifted by healthy Q1 numbers reported yesterday. The share was trading at Rs 576.75 as against Rs 552.90 at close on Wednesday.
Vedanta (earlier Sesa Sterlite) was up 0.70 per cent at Rs 208.60 as against its overnight close at Rs 207.15.
Reliance Industries edged up 0.64 per cent to quote at Rs 856.70. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 851.25.
Sun Pharma was up marginally at Rs 942.95. This represented a gain of 0.39 per cent on its Wednesday close at Rs 939.25.
Cipla was also up a shade at Rs 630.60. This represented a 0.20 per cent gain on its overnight close at Rs 629.35.
