From Monday, automobile majors such as Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, M&M, Ashok Leyland, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor will declare their sales figures for June. While expectations are very low, some fear the sales figures actually could surprise them negatively.
In fact, some automobile firms had announced a partial shutdown in June due to inventory pile-up. May was the worst month in 18 years for passenger vehicles as sales skid 20.6 per cent y-o-y, SIAM data showed.
