Wipro vaulted over 6 per cent in the Monday morning session on the BSE. At 10.45 am it was trading at Rs 592.55, up 6.72 per cent on last week’s close at Rs 555.25. The surge comes on the back of robust numbers posted in the December quarter.The company reported an 8.8 per cent growth in net profit during the quarter.
GAIL (India) sailed up 4.05 per cent at Rs 441.75 as against Rs 424.55 at close on Friday.
Axis Bank traded up 2.10 per cent at Rs 525.70. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 514.90.
Cipla perked up 1.55 per cent at Rs 657 as against Rs 647 at close last week.
Hindalco Industries spiked up 1.37 per cent at Rs 140.35. The share had closed the previous session at Rs 138.45.
