Karnataka Bank Ltd will recruit 280 officers during the current fiscal, according to a press statement by the bank.
To support the business expansion plan, the bank is on a recruitment drive to meet its increased manpower requirement. The bank has already recruited 820 clerks and is in the process of recruiting 280 officers. This also includes 100 marketing officers.
The bank opened 30 service outlets during the first quarter of 2013-14. This includes five branches and 25 ATMs. With this, the total number of service outlets went up to 1,084 (555 branches and 529 ATMs).
The bank, which has presence in 20 States and two Union Territories, would take the total number of service outlets to 1,200 by the end of March. This includes 600 branches and an equal number of ATMs.
The bank, which crossed a total business of Rs 62,158.99 crore during the first quarter of 2013-14, is planning to achieve a business of Rs 78,000 crore by the end of 2013-14, it said.
