Banks in India are closed in most states on Monday, April 14.

This is the third consecutive day the banks have been closed. The banks were closed on April 12 as it was the second Saturday, and on April 13 as it was a Sunday.

April 14, which falls on Monday, is a combination of several important days such as Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Vishu, Biju/Buisu, Maha Vishuva Sankranti, Tamil New Year’s Day, Bohag Bihu, and Cheiraoba.

Banks will be open in some states on April 14.

Banks will be closed on April 15 (Tuesday) also in Agartala, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kolkata and Shimla on account of Bengali New Year’s Day/Himachal Day/Bohag Bihu.
