South-based lender Federal Bank today announced an organisational rejig, under which it has hired Ganesh Sankaran as the executive director incharge of wholesale banking.
Sankaran has an experience of over two decades in the industry. Prior to this appointment, he was working with HDFC bank as a senior leader in the wholesale bank, a media statement issued this morning said.
He will create the wholesale banking for the Kerala-headquartered lender and also be involved in the internal optimisation initiatives at the bank.
In a late evening statement posted on stock exchanges, Federal Bank said there are two more changes in the organisational structure involving senior management.
Under this, chief financial officer Sampath D will take over as head of network—II with effect from tomorrow.
The Executive Director Ashutosh Khajuria will be taking charge as the CFO, apart from overseeing treasury, investments, finance and planning in the bank.
