The recent debit-card data breach has raised questions on the safety of using the cards, and also that of banking channels such as internet banking and apps.

Banks need to have robust systems and equally strong software that can safeguard data. With almost all banks pushing the use of mobile apps, their security becomes key.

The Appzillon suite can help banks across all services — right from on-boarding a customer to offering the entire gamut of services, including internet banking and apps. With the integrated system, banks would have fewer reasons to worry about security, he said.

The suite’s Branch and Doorstep Banking helps banks engage a customer inside or outside the bank to deliver assisted banking services.

Appzillon also takes into consideration the latest developments in banking technology — including social-media and chatbot-based banking.

Sundararajan said the suite will help a bank get a ready-made system, instead of building internet banking and mobile apps from ground up. He said it will immediately help the bank in reducing workloads and operating costs.

He said Appzillon stays in tune with the changes — it handle hashtag banking, supports new versions of operating systems (desktop and mobile), and ensures release of regular security updates.
