Malabar Gold & Diamonds, one of the largest jewellery retain chains with 250 showrooms in 10 countries, will offer 250 kg of gold as Diwali gift to its customers.
To coincide with its silver jubilee celebrations, the offer will be valid till November 25, according to MP Ahammed, Chairman, Malabar Group. For the purchase of gold for every ₹10,000, the customer will get a gold coin and the purchase of diamond jewels of a similar amount will fetch two gold coins.
The Group plans to treble its showroom count to 750 in the next five years. It plans to invest ₹7,000 crore for expanding the jewellery business. It is also setting up MGD Life Style, a store dedicated for daily use jewellery.
Union Minister DV Sadananda Gowda will inaugurate its new headquarters at the Montana Estate in Kozhikode on November 2 to mark its 25th anniversary. Apart from the headquarters, the complex includes apartments, signature bungalows, villas, villaments, an international school and convention centre, organic farm, mini theatres and business clubs.
The Group currently has showrooms in India, Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the US. In the silver jubilee year, it will open showrooms in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Australia, Canada, Egypt and Turkey.
More showrooms will be opened in the North and Central India, said O Asher, Managing Director. Besides setting up new manufacturing units, it will establish special training centres for youth and artisans to improve skillsets.
