YES Bank, the country's fifth largest private sector bank, has redesigned its organisational structure to further accelerate its Retail and SME focus.

In a redesigned organisational structure, Pralay Mondal will now head the Commercial Business Banking & Rural Banking in addition to his existing role of heading Branch Banking, Business Banking and Retail Banking.

"The mid-sized private bank has redesigned its organisational structure to further accelerate its retail and SME focus...will maximise internal synergies as these businesses further scale-up over the next 5 years,'' the bank said in a statement.

"Senior Group President, Pralay Mondal, will now also head the Commercial Business Banking (Rs 100-500 crore turnover)," the statement said.

The organisational re-design has been done along three pillars -- expanding sales distribution network, enchased product offerings such as credit cards and home loans for customer engagement with end users and customer service and operations.

The bank has planned expansion of its network to 1,500 branches by March 31, 2018, and 2,500 by March 31, 2020.

The Urban Branch Banking business will be managed through a two-part regional management structure by Narendra Dixit, Branch Banking Head, North & East, and Akshay Sapru, Branch Banking Head, West & South.

"To ensure fullest organisational synergies and agility in product innovation, customisation & roll-outs, all liabilities products bankwide are being unified under the leadership of Chitra Pandya, Senior President," the bank added.

Further, to focus on service delivery across all YES Bank branches and Alternate Channels, Ratan Kesh (formerly with HDFC Bank) will be the Senior President and Country Head, Branch Service Delivery, Contact Centre & Service Excellence.

Kapil Juneja currently heading only Liabilities and Retail Asset Operations & Currency Chest Operations, will now assume the entire responsibility of Liability Operations, Retail Asset Operations, and City Processing Centres.
