How does one celebrate the World Penguin Day without catching a glimpse of a penguin? Well, if you are in Mumbai, you can head down to Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan, popularly known as Byculla Zoo, and visit their penguin enclosure.
The Zoo has seven Humboldt penguins, native to South America. They were brought to Mumbai in 2016 from Coex Aquarium in Seoul, South Korea. The birds live in an enclosure spread over 1,800 square feet. There, the temperature is between 16 and 18 degrees. If the birds fancy a swim, they can do it as the enclosure has a pool with a temperature between 11 C and 16 C.
So, head out now to see the star attraction at the Byculla Zoo!
