Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has invited Narendra Modi, Prime Ministerial nominee of the victorious Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to November’s G20 leaders’ meeting in Brisbane.
Abbott tweeted Saturday that he had phoned Modi to congratulate him on a resounding election victory for the BJP this week.
In a tweeted response, Modi thanked Abbott. “I look forward to a bright future for India-Australia relations,” he said.
