A 60-member business delegation from Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is in the Capital to discuss the development of 100 smart cities in India, apart from strengthening diplomatic and economic ties. The delegation, led by Mayor of Amsterdam, Eberhard van der Laan, will be holding roundtables in Mumbai and Bengaluru as well, apart from discussions with HCL, CII, Mahindra Reva, Infosys, IISC Bengaluru, State Bank of India, among others.
The Netherlands and India had signed a MoU in 2013 to enhance knowledge exchange and cooperation between the two countries on sustainable building, water and waste management and transport within urban environments.
