The Andhra Pradesh Government has issued its first Government Order (GO) on abolition of belt shops.
Abolition of beltshops was one of the five files Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had signed immediately after taking over as the first CM of the residuary State of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday evening.
As per the GO, officials have been instructed to cancel the licences of wine shops if any of them were found to be supplying liquor to belt shops.
Abolition of belt shops was one of the promises made by the Telugu Desam Party in its election manifesto.
