The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has been awarded the Special Mention for Responsive Governance at the prestigious Civis’ Public Consultation Awards 2025.
The ceremony, held recently in the Capital, is aimed at honouring exemplary public governance practices in India, acknowledging the efforts of administrators dedicated to promoting transparent and effective governance.
The recognition was awarded to CCI for its Draft CCI (Lesser Penalty) Regulations 2023, which underwent a comprehensive evaluation process that involved collecting primary and secondary data related to consultation and assessing its performance against other submissions. The evaluation was carried out by a distinguished jury consisting of eminent public administrators and public policy experts.
Civic Innovation Foundation, the independent, non-profit organisation behind the Civis platform, has been working to enhance government capacity for conducting effective public consultations. Its partners include NITI Aayog, CBSE, and Karmayogi Bharat. The awards aim to encourage good governance practices that contribute towards co-creating India’s future.
