Ghaziabad’s Institute of Management Technology (IMT) will hold the sixth edition of ‘Cyclothon’ on Saturday with the aim of creating awareness on social issues.
With its previous editions supporting causes such as “Let Delhi Breathe”, “Ride for our brave hearts”and “Ride Today to Protect Tomorrow”, Cyclothon 2018 will draw attention to the rising violence in the country.
According to the official statement, in 2016, the country witnessed 106 rape cases every single day.
Also, 27 per cent of women admitted to having experienced physical violence since the age of 15.
Every 15 minutes, a child was sexually abused. However, 99 per cent of the sexual assault cases went unreported, it said.
