Fair trade regulator CCI today launched a ‘Knowledge Partnership Initiative’ with top law schools in the country to build a strong knowledge base in the field of competition law.
“The objectives of the initiative are to build a strong knowledge base in the field of competition law, to promote competition law compliance in India and expand the outreach of competition law,” a release by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs said.
At a meeting chaired by Competition Commission of India (CCI) Chairperson Ashok Chawla and attended by Vice Chancellors and Professors of country’s 10 law schools, it was decided that these schools will partner with CCI in various areas relating to research, education and advocacy.
The law schools included are — NLSIU Bengaluru, NALSAR Hyderabad, NUJS Kolkata, NLS Delhi, NLU Jodhpur, RGNUL Patiala, NLUJA Guwahati, NLUSRL Ranchi, and ILS Pune.
