In a major relief to the students from CBSE affiliated schools, whose marksheets/migration certificates/pass certificates were lost or damaged in the Kerala floods, the board offered to give digital marksheets, migration certificates and pass certificates.
In Kerala, around 1,300 schools are affiliated to the CBSE. Board exam academic documents are important for higher studies, employment etc.
CBSE, in technical collaboration with the National E-Governance Division (NEGD), has developed its own digital academic repository called ‘Parinam Manjusha’, and has integrated it with DigiLocker.
Theacademic documents being provided through Parinam Manjusha/DigiLocker are signed using the digital signature of Controller of Examinations of CBSE which make them a legally valid digital document as per the IT Act. These documents also have PKI-based QR codes and such documents can be verified for authenticity using the DigiLocker mobile app.
