A national painting competition for schools is offering Rs 5 lakh for the winner; Rs 20,000 for the winning student and Rs 10,000 each to 49 finalists.
The contest is being held in connection with the 12th triennial Congress of International Federation of Societies for Surgery of Hand and the 9th triennial congress of the International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy from March 4 to 8 in Delhi.
The theme for the contest is ‘Magic of Hands,’ says Rakesh Khazanchi, chairman, department of plastic surgery, Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon.
He is also secretary of the organising committee. It is for the first time that these two events are coming to this part of the world.
