Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Coimbatore-based PSG Institute, to jointly work on research projects, developing of prototypes, and setting up of laboratories in areas like healthcare, energy and mobility and energy.
This move is part of a larger program designed to develop a stronger and more productive relationship between Bosch and academia, company officials said.
Sri Krishnan V, Vice President, RBEI, said: “We have been already working together on many programs like in shaping the curriculum, installing the automotive lab, and supporting students to get mentored by Bosch technical experts. The MoU on research will take us to the next step in the industry-academia collaboration”.
Gopalan Vijendran, India head of the corporate research and technology center, from Bosch, added: “We are confident that this collaboration will help stimulate research and development activities in engineering, which will lead to region specific innovation led product development for Bosch. At the same time, it will encourage the nurturing of engineering talent, amongst both the teaching faculty and the students in PSG institutes.”
