The Modi government’s Start-Up India, Stand-Up India initiative will be unveiled in Delhi today. The initiative aims to create an ecosystem that would nurture innovation. A high-level, inter-ministerial panel will oversee the progress and roll-out of the government's plan. The panel will evaluate start-up proposals to see if they qualify for incentives.

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, sponsored by Beijing in which India and 56 countries have joined as founding members, will be opened in the Chinese capital today. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang will attend activities marking the opening of the $100 billion-AIIB, which is seen as a potential rival to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will visit Israel and Palestine on Sunday and Monday to further build on the goodwill generated by President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to the two key West Asian nations three months back.
