Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day on Friday after the Speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, made obituary references to the passing away of some sitting and former members of the Lower House.
As soon as the Lower House assembled, Sunil Kumar Jhakhar (Gurdaspur Parliamentary Constituency, Punjab) took Oath, signed the roll of members before taking his seat in the House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced the Ministers/Ministers of State who had been recently inducted into the council of ministers.
