With Nitish Kumar all set to come to power in Bihar for his third term, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday congratulated Kumar and his alliance partner Lalu Prasad Yadav for their victory.
Banerjee tweeted her congratulatory message.
"Congratulations @NitishKumar ji, Lalu ji & your full team. And all my Bihar brothers & sisters. Victory of tolerance, defeat of intolerance," Banerjee tweeted.
Incidentally, the West Bengal Chief Minister and her party, the Trinamool Congress, was amongst the first few regional parties to express their support for the grand alliance, "Mahagathbandhan".
Meanwhile, Derek O' Brien, National Spokesperson, Trinamool Congress, and the party's Parliamentary leader (in the Rajya Sabha) referred to BJP's Bihar loss as a day when "India (is) saved".
"BJP loses. India saved: Derek #BiharResults" read a tweet posted on the Trinamool Congress' twitter handle.
