The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, has said Amaravati farmers who offered their lands under land pooling for development of the new capital should emerge as entrepreneurs.
Seeing off the first batch of 34 farmers being sent to Singapore at the secretariat on Monday, he said the farmers should learn the best practices at Singapore. He said that the State Government had been fulfilling all the promises made to the farmers and looking after their livelihood, pension, health, education of children and skill development programmes.
He said that the farmers should learn how the Singapore developed and their best practices. He said the State Government would give them all help in the process. He said the designs of State Assembly and High Court structures were finalised and construction would commence soon.
The State Government has selected 124 farmers for Singapore tour. In the first batch, 34 farmers including three women farmers were sent to Singapore for a four-day visit on Monday.
