Andhra Pradesh to get additional power of 170 MW from Neyveli Power Ltd, Tuticorin after the plant is commissioned in March 2015.
Neyveli will also give another 52.6 mw from the Neyveli New Thermal Power Station which is scheduled for commissioning by 2017.
These were part of the amended power supply agreements concluded between Neyveli Lignite Corporation and AP Transco here today.
NLC operates four thermal power plants of 2740 MW, which will increase to 4240 MW by end of March 2015. The corporation has plans to increase the capacity to 11,206 MW by the end of Twelfth Plan period.
