An assistant professor in the Department of Remote Sensing and Geographical Information System, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University - B. Vinothkumar bagged the Ýoung Achiever Award – 2013', for his contribution to the society in the field of agriculture – directly and indirectly.
The award was instituted by the Society for Advancement of Human and Nature (Sadhna), Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni PO, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India.
It carries a specially designed plaque and certificate of honour.
He is at present working in the area of “Application of hyper spectral remote sensing on pest and disease damage assessment” at Coimbatore.
