The Bangalore Regional Passport Office has concluded its ‘Passport Mela’ initiative.
The mela, held to expedite the application process in view of the high demand for passports, has completed 1,290 appointments to passport seekers to get their applications processed. Further, 855 passport applications were processed during the mela.
The Bangalore RPO is handling more than 1,600 applications daily, five times more than it used to handle three years ago, according to government officials.
