Eros Investments Ltd (EIL), Isle of Man, UK, and the Andhra Pradesh Government on Saturday inked a memorandum of understanding to set up a multi-billion dollar Entertainment City.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu, in a statement said this will give a huge fillip to tourism and create employment, infrastructure and usher in investments into the State.
While Special Chief secretary (Tourism) Chandana Khan signed the MoU on behalf of the Government, Subodh Agarwal from EIL signed the deal in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Eros Investment Ltd is a subsidiary of Eros International Plc. The Entertainment City will comprise a media city, an amusement park, commercial and residential spaces, hotels and leisure and healthcare facilities.
The integrated media city will have pre-production, production and post-production facilities for film, TV and advertising industries.
The Chief Minister said that the Entertainment City will house hospitality clusters and attract a large number of tourists which will bring in revenue in the service sector in the State.
