Auto drivers, rickshaw pullers, construction workers and cine workers are among employed in un-organised labour sectors, who can look forward to some insurance cover soon.

The ESI Corporation (ESIC) is contemplating this move on a pilot basis in Hyderabad, according to the Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatreya,

After reviewing the working of various departments under his Ministry here today, the Minister said that ESIC will start 06 --bedded Hospitals at Qutubhullapur (Jeedimetla) and Chikkadpally dispensaries which are having own buildings. “Wherever the dispensaries are located in rented buildings, the State Government should provide required space free of cost to build dispensaries by the ESI Corporation”, he added.

On housing, he said out of 27, 000 houses to be built for the poor people, 10,000 houses had been built and allotted to the beneficiaries.  7,000 houses will be completed within a couple of months and the identified beneficiaries will be allotted the same.  Another 10, 000 houses are yet to be built.

Regarding Outer Ring road the officials stated that out of 158 kms, 138 kms stretch has been completed and remaining road will be completed by February 2017. The Labour Minister has advised to complete the Radial work on the roads as an amount of Rs 6,500 crore had already been sanctioned.
