The Karnataka unit of the BJP will launch a door-to-door campaign in the State that goes to polls this year. The BJP is aiming to dislodge the Congress from the only big State, which sends 20 or more MPs to the Lok Sabha, in which it remains in power. The 224-seat Assembly is likely to go to polls in May.

China’s new rules on how much cash cardholders can withdraw overseas takes effect today. The country has set an annual limit of 100,000 yuan a person, no matter how many cards a person has. Anyone exceeding the limit will be barred from withdrawing cash overseas for the remainder of the year and the following year.

Starting today , WhatsApp will not work on a range of phones, including the Black-Berry OS, BlackBerry 10 and a Windows 8.0 phone. The app says these platforms don’t offer the kind of “capabilities we need to expand our features.”
