Former Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh V Dinesh Reddy today joined the YSR Congress and is expected to be fielded in the Lok Sabha elections.
He may be fielded from either Malkajgiri in Hyderabad or Ongole in Seemandhra.
Reddy retired from service in September 2013. He was inducted into the YSRC in the presence of its chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. He said he has joined the party to serve the people.
Earlier, describing the alliance of TDP and BJP as the coming together of divisive forces which shows the weakness of N. Chandrababu Naidu, YSR Congress has said the coalition has no moral sanctity and will be blown away in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy wave.
“The conflicting statements and interests of BJP and TDP since 1999 has only shown that the two parties are on a weak plank morally and they will not succeed in stalling the onward march of YSRCP,” party senior leader Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said.
