Hamish Finlayson, a 13-year-old whiz kid from Australia, is creating a buzz at GES, with his gaming and app innovations,

“My work on gaming and applications was liked and I was invited to be part of the GES held in the US’s Silicon Valley last year. I am attending the second GES now,” he said.

Hamish, who started developing apps at seven, is keen onnature- and environment-related topics. His works include LitterbugSmash , an iOS app, and Keep Calm and Save Turtles.

Healthcare app He is also working in the area of healthcare relating to autism.

According to media reports, Hamish is autistic. But this has not prevented him from developing five apps including an app to help those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

His father Graeme Finlayson is mighty proud of Hamish. “He took to this when he was in grade 3, and we look forward to more innovations by 7th grade,” he said. Hamish’s start-up, Moonshot Industries Global pty Ltd, is based in Townsville, Australia. He is participating in GES as an entrepreneur.

Asked if he is looking for funds, he said: “No, my focus right now is on app development.”
