The Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) is planning to release a white paper on a cost-effective model for implementation of various development projects in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana after bifurcation.
The model will be based on the feedback at the State-level convention being held here by the Visakhapatnam and Ukkunagaram chapters of ICAI named ‘Telugunadu CMA (Cost and Management Accountant)' at Hotel Gateway here on September 19 and 20.
The theme of the convention is ‘opportunities and challenges for industrial growth in successor States – role of CMA professional.’ Discussions will be held on MSME, infrastructure, petro and gas, pharma and health care, IT and government perspective on Central and State taxes.
Convention committee chairman K. Sanyasi Rao, co-chairman U. Prakash and convener P.N.V. Madhav told reporters on Wednesday that they would also hold a parallel students’ convention. As many as 250 CMAs are expected to participate in the meet in addition to 200 students. Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao will be the chief guest. SIRC chairman H. Padmanabhan will preside over it and ICAI president A.S. Durga Prasad will deliver the presidential address. RINL Director (Finance) T.V.S. Krishna Kumar is scheduled to give the keynote speech.
