JIPMER has drawn up an elaborate plan to collaborate with the Renewable Energy Agency of Puducherry (REAP) to commission during the first quarter of 2018, a rooftop solar grid at a cost of ₹7.63 crore, states a release from SC Parija, Director of Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research.
The 1500KW roof top solar grip being set up on the institute’s premises will help save ₹1.5 crore in power tariff every year, it said.
